Reciprocity
Out of state Paramedics or NREMT Paramedics wanting to obtain Ky. Paramedic licensure may do so in two ways:

Paramedic Temporary Licensure |

Allows 6 months to obtain the Determination of Death Regs class or NREMT-P certification. 6-month license, non-renewable. For use only if UNABLE to meet all requirements of the Out of State Paramedic Checklist.
Allow 30-45 days for processing.

Out of State Paramedic Reciprocity |

Two-year licensure for out of state Paramedics wishing to obtain KY Paramedic licensure. Must have Determination of Death certificate and NREMT-P certification.
Allow 30-45 days for processing.
