Once KBEMS has received your Vehicle Change Form in KEMSIS, and payment of appropriate fees, you will be contacted by one of the Field Operations Staff. They will inspect your new or replacement vehicle to allow you to place it in service. Follow the link below to access the required items checklist.

Temporary Aircraft:
Occasionally, agencies are placed in situations where resources are scarce due to mechanical breakdowns, maintenance, etc., 202 KAR 7:510 has provisions for the use of temporary aircraft. ,A licensed provider may use a replacement aircraft on a temporary basis if an approved aircraft is out of service due to an emergent situation., A temporary replacement aircraft shall not be used for more than 60 days unless the KBEMS office has verified through inspection that it meets regulatory requirements.
Reporting Requirements -
You must notify the KBEMS office within 24 hours, or the next business day, of the need for a temporary vehicle. You can submit that notification via a SUPPORT TICKET.
