Continuing Education

Continuing education allows EMS professionals to stay current on the ever changing trends and practice requirements for that of an EMS provider. This will provide you with the essential knowledge needed about laws or regulations as well as new treatments that change on a regular basis.

Continuing education is important due to the fact that it validates an EMS provider's knowledge and skill level. As a professional, you need to be updated as medicine constantly evolves. This ensures that your patients have the best care possible.

As a certified or licensed provider in the State of Kentucky, you are required to obtain a certain amount of continuing education in certain topics to maintain your certification or licensure. The certified or licensed person is responsible for attending and maintaining proper records of their continuing education hours.
