On Oct. 8, 2020, the Kentucky Board of EMS voted to accept the document below to outline the skills allowed by each provider level. The additional license levels contained in the KBEMS Approved Scope of Care document will be updated as the regulations and subsequent scope of practice for each level is approved and adopted. Please be aware that this is an advisory document.

This document contains a list of allowable skills, separated by provider level, for Kentucky EMS professionals.
Inclusion on this list only indicates that a specific skill is allowable, per the KBEMS Approved Provider Scope of Practice. The medical director of each agency may limit, at their discretion, the skills allowed within an agency.
